Vellia is designed so that your budget entries, spending, plans, and savings goals stay on your device.

What stays on your device

Your financial entries, categories, goals, recurring plans, and app settings are stored locally on your device. We do not receive or store your transaction amounts, budgets, or savings goals on Vellia servers.

Analytics

Vellia uses PostHog to understand anonymous product usage, such as screens viewed, features used, and whether an app action succeeded. This helps us improve the app. These events use an anonymous app identifier and may include technical information such as app version and device type. We do not send your financial entries or transaction amounts to PostHog.

Referrals

If you choose to use a referral code, Vellia uses Supabase to create and manage an anonymous technical session, your referral code, and the status of referral rewards. This is needed to apply the relevant Premium extension. Referral data is not used to create a public profile or sell advertising.

Purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Vellia does not receive your full payment card details. Apple handles payment information under its own privacy policy.

How we use information

• To provide and improve Vellia’s features.
• To operate optional referral rewards.
• To diagnose reliability issues and understand anonymous app usage.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your financial data for advertising or targeted advertising. We use service providers only where needed to provide analytics, referral functionality, or App Store purchases.

Data retention

Local budget data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or restore a different backup. Anonymous analytics and referral records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Your choices

You can choose not to enter a referral code. You can remove local Vellia data by deleting the app from your device. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Vellia changes. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
